I was born in Costa Rica, in the province of Cartago. I attended the Colegio Universitario de Cartago, and subsequently the University of Costa Rica, I moved to Dallas in 1984, I am happily married for 37 years. I also have completed educational courses at the University of Dallas, as well as Our Lady of the Lake University. I have been teaching Spanish at Holy Trinity Catholic School since 1999.

My involvement at Holy Trinity began when my two sons enrolled in the early 1990s. I have been actively involved in the school community’s extracurricular and fundraising events throughout my sons’ attendance at Holy Trinity. Both of my sons were propelled to excel academically at the high school, collegiate, and graduate levels. My oldest son has graduated with a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in May 2012, and my youngest son has received  his law degree from SMU School of Law.

I have a passion for world cultures and foreign languages, which led me to organize several education abroad programs. Holy Trinity students, along with their families, have traveled to places in Latin America, and Europe, applying classroom knowledge across foreign nations. My goal is to share knowledge and experience with prospective students by encouraging them to participate in similar programs in the years to come.

I strongly believe in a Catholic education and would recommend as it has made a big difference in my family’s life.
